Meet Chantelle
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you come in. You can simply show up as you are.
I’m a warm, down-to-earth psychologist who believes therapy should feel like a space where you can genuinely be yourself. I take the time to understand the person behind the problem — your experiences, relationships, strengths, and the things that are important to you.
I particularly enjoy working with young adults and adults who are navigating life changes, feeling overwhelmed or stuck, or trying to work out what is meaningful to them. I also enjoy supporting people who are exploring ADHD or autism, adjusting to a diagnosis, or wanting to better understand themselves.
Areas I can help with
- Anxiety and depression
- OCD and specific phobias
- ADHD and autism
- Stress, burnout and perfectionism
- Emotional regulation
- Substance use
- Life transitions and adjustment
- Identity, values, purpose and finding direction
My approach
Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I tailor our work to your goals, communication style, preferences and what feels useful for you.
Depending on what you need, we might work through patterns that are keeping you stuck, develop practical strategies, build skills for managing difficult emotions, or explore what you want your life to look like beyond simply “feeling better.”
I draw on evidence-based approaches including CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, Motivational Interviewing and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
I want you to feel able to show up as yourself — without needing to perform, mask or conform to expectations about how you should communicate or behave. I welcome people from diverse cultural backgrounds, LGBTQIA+ communities and neurodivergent people, and aim to create a space where you feel respected, understood and accepted.
You can expect warmth, honesty, gentle challenge when it's helpful, and probably a bit of humour along the way.
What matters to me
A big part of my work is helping people reconnect with what actually matters to them — not just managing symptoms, but building a life that feels meaningful and more like their own, even when things feel uncertain.
My hope is that you leave therapy feeling heard, understood and more at ease being yourself, with greater clarity about what matters to you and practical steps towards the life you want.
If you're nervous about your first appointment
It's completely okay to feel nervous about seeing a psychologist. You don't need to know exactly what to say or have everything worked out beforehand.
Your first appointment is also a chance for you to decide whether I'm the right psychologist for you. You can ask questions, tell me what you need and let me know if you'd prefer to change the pace or approach.
A little about me
Outside of psychology, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to music, going to live shows and the theatre, reading, and walking in nature. I’m also a big fan of markets, finding unique vintage items, and discovering good vegan or plant-based pastries and desserts!
